These landscape types are: a natural lake system, an oak forest, an oak savannah (an area sparsely populated with trees), a cedar glade, a floating leaf marsh, a meadow, a shallow marsh, and a deep marsh. Due to the variety of landscapes, Nashotah Park has an outstanding array of songbirds. The scenery comes alive with different colors for each season. The park continues to thrive in winter for cold-weather enthusiasts who treasure mornings and afternoons spent on miles of groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails.

The 18-hole North Hills” course at the North Hills Country Club facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin features 6,436 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 71.9 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bent grass. North Hills golf course opened in 1929. James J. Ferschinger manages the course as the General Manager.

St. John’s Pond Park is a 3.5 acre park on the shores of Lake Nagawicka. The key features of this park are a Fishing Pier on Nagawicka lake, St. John’s pond, and the city owned Dam. There is a biking and hiking trail, picnic facilities, fishing area, restrooms, ice skating in the winter. Off street parking is available.
This park provides a good starting point to see the Veterans Memorial River Walk.
Additional parking is available at the post office accross the street.
