For 160 years, The Red Circle Inn has provided the setting for many significant events.
With construction beginning in 1847 and completion in 1848, owner Francis Schraudenbach created this wonderful legacy along the Watertown Plank Road. Initially a stopping spot for stagecoaches and frontiersmen, The Circle soon became the Lake Countries premiere hotel and restaurant.
In 1889, the Pabst Brewing Family purchased The Inn and established it as the place to be seen while summering at mansions on area lakes. It was June of 1911 that the restaurant was sold to the Polaski family and remained under their familial operation until grandson-in-law Walter Ketter sold the establishment to Provimi Veal Chairman Aat Groenevelt. His corporation and family presided over the restaurant until July 1993 when the current ownership purchased the restaurant.
The Circle has always been rated one of the finest in the state. Coupled with its grace, elegance and grandeur, it is the favorite of many discerning diners. Classic preparation of the finest of meats, fish, poultry and game await your palate as you relax in the beautiful, richly paneled bar.
The finest of spirits and wines are yours to select!
Come enjoy Wisconsin’s oldest and finest – The Red Circle Inn.
