We like to refer to our City as \u201cthe City in the Country\u201d, offering many amenities to our residents and visitors alike. The name of the City comes from \u201cPee-wauk-ee-wee-nick\u201d, meaning\u00a0 \u201clake of shells\u201d in Potawatomi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pewaukee is known as a fisherman’s paradise,\u00a0providing the best muskie fishing in southeastern Wisconsin.\u00a0 The\u00a0lake also\u00a0offers\u00a0plenty of activities no matter the season with water skiing, fishing, swimming and boating in the summer to ice fishing and skating in winter.<\/p>\n
