The interesting names of its towns and villages - Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, and Menomonee Falls - are a reminder of the County's Native American history. But, the similarities end there - each community has it's own personality:

Delafield is a charming, yet sophisticated Williamsburg-style town on the banks of Lake Nagawicka.

Brookfield, on the other hand, is in the heart of the county, embracing an urban vibe, an energetic arts culture, and shopping galore.

In Lake Country, Oconomowoc, once called the "Newport of the West" features stately lakeside mansions and a thriving downtown that once hosted vacationing U.S. presidents and prominent Midwest families.

Pewaukee is a sportsman's paradise. Built around the area's largest lake, the area is known for fishing, boating and lakefront festivals hosted by the villages trendy restaurants and shops.
