Park Amenities
The State of Wisconsin Scientific Area Preservation Council named the 60 acres of hardwoods that inhabit the park a State Scientific Area. This area is to preserve valuable plant communities, including the Muskego Park Hardwoods, an old-growth southern dry mesic forest dominated by white and red oaks, teach conservation practices, and study the area's natural history. The parks terrain is a rolling landscape of dense soils and wetland areas with small ponds with trails that wind through the hardwoods offering a tranquil atmosphere and home to abundant wildlife. Summer bird populations are representative of southern hardwoods and include Woodpeckers, Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks, and the state-threatened cerulean warbler. Activities for all seasons await your arrival.
